Cross-Listing can be helpful for instructors who teach multiple sections of the same course and want to combine their student enrolments into one course site in Canvas.

How do I cross-list a section in a course as an instructor?

Things to Note:

· Instructors in Canvas can choose one of their course sites to serve as a “Parent” course.

· The “Parent” course will contain enrolments from any Cross-Listed or “Child” course sites.

· After Cross-Listing is complete, instructors and students will only see the “Parent” course site on their Canvas Dashboard.

· Cross-listing should be done while courses are unpublished, if you’ve already published your course, student course progress such as Quizzes, Assignment submissions, and Discussions can be lost.
