Resource Listing

As an instructor, you may be in search of information concerning resources that you can access to improve your instructional development and delivery. This page is a response to such a need. Feel free to click on the drop-down/accordion tabs below to gain information on what resources exist to help you create learning materials and activities for your students. 

As faculty, you may require technology tools that will allow you to create a variety of instructional resources for the courses that you teach. Feel free to experiment and utilize any of the resources in the table below that suits your needs. Not every resource that is included in the list will be subscribed to (paid for) by UTT. Thus, any resources that is not a UTT resource, TLIS staff will not be in a position to provide support. However, feel free to utilize YouTube and any other community resources that may exist for the resource.

Mediasite This is a platform that instructors can use to create screencast videos. This platform has basic editing capabilities. It is recommended for instructors who desire to utilize Mediasite’s interactive video capabilities and analytics.  Alternatively, instructors are encouraged to use screenpal. Up & Running with Mediasite

Screenpal This software is highly recommended for instructors who are desirous of making screencast videos for their classes. This software has advanced (but user-friendly) editing features available. Audacity If you are in need of software that allows you to record and edit audio only, try experimenting with the open source audio software known as ‘Audacity’.  Do note that this resource is neither administrated nor supported by UTT. As such, we (TLIS) apologize in advance, that we are unable to respond to any queries or provide any support for persons who choose to utilize the software. All support resources shared are based upon content created by other persons, that we’ve found on the open-web. Are you in search of free, royalty-free, attribution-free graphics, videos, and other appropriate resources to assist you in your content creation of instructional materials and activities? The table below provides information that fits the aforementioned characteristics. The resources are regulated by the Creative Commons licenses which permit free download, adaptation, and editing without any costs. Additionally, attribution is not required, so you can utilize these resources without having to make a visual reference to the source website. Lastly, do note that none of the resources below are affiliated with UTT or supported by UTT. Therefore, TLIS is neither able to respond to any queries regarding these resources nor provide any other type of support.
